These are details you don&#8217;t often hear. But they&#8217;re meaningful, because they help us see that God is not impersonal. And in those situations, Jesus gave some advice that is still very practical. Look at what he said in <strong>Matthew 6:14 and 15<\/strong>: <strong>\u201cFor if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you; whereas if you do not forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Marta (Person):<\/strong> That&#8217;s very powerful advice.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Elena (Publisher):<\/strong> It is. But it&#8217;s also very realistic. Jesus was a great teacher because he didn&#8217;t give nice-sounding advice just to sound good. He knew what we are like, and he knew that holding on to resentment is a heavy burden. Sometimes the other person doesn&#8217;t even know how much harm they caused, but you keep carrying it.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Marta (Person):<\/strong> That&#8217;s true. You&#8217;re the one who keeps going over it.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Elena (Publisher):<\/strong> Exactly. And forgiving doesn&#8217;t always mean what happened doesn&#8217;t matter or that it&#8217;s easy to forget. But it can mean stopping the cycle of feeding that pain. And that&#8217;s where Jesus&#8217; advice works. It helps you find peace and not stay trapped in what happened.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Marta (Person):<\/strong> I never thought of it that way.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Elena (Publisher):<\/strong> That&#8217;s what&#8217;s so striking\u2014his words are still useful today. Y todo eso est\u00e1 muy bien. Pero la pregunta importante no es solo qu\u00e9 tenemos delante, sino <strong>c\u00f3mo estudiamos<\/strong>. Porque una persona puede dedicar tiempo al estudio y, aun as\u00ed, no sacar todo el provecho posible. Por eso conviene que nos preguntemos: <strong>\u00bfqu\u00e9 hace que el estudio sea realmente \u00fatil?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The answer is seen very clearly in the example of Ezra. In <strong>Ezra 7:10<\/strong> we are told that he \u201chad prepared his heart\u201d to consult the law of Jehovah, to carry it out, and to teach it. Notice that expression: <strong>he prepared his heart<\/strong>. It does not say he simply prepared his scrolls, his materials, or his mind. He prepared his heart. So effective study begins even before reading the first line.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Y eso nos lleva al primer punto principal: <strong>para estudiar bien, hay que tener la actitud adecuada<\/strong>. \u00bfC\u00f3mo logramos esa actitud? Una ayuda esencial es la oraci\u00f3n. Antes de empezar a estudiar, hacemos muy bien en pedirle a Jehovah su esp\u00edritu santo. Podemos rogarle que nos ayude a entender lo que vamos a leer, a captar c\u00f3mo se relaciona con su prop\u00f3sito y a ver c\u00f3mo aplicarlo en nuestra vida. Tambi\u00e9n podemos pedirle que nos ayude a examinarnos con sinceridad. Quiz\u00e1 lo que estudiemos toque una meta, una decisi\u00f3n, una actitud o una forma de pensar que debamos ajustar. Cuando empezamos as\u00ed, el estudio deja de ser una rutina y se convierte en algo espiritual. Ya no estamos solo buscando informaci\u00f3n. Estamos dejando que Jehovah nos ense\u00f1e.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Adem\u00e1s, preparar el coraz\u00f3n implica estudiar con humildad. Nosotros no nos acercamos a la Biblia para discutirla o para buscarle fallos. Nos acercamos con confianza en Jehovah. Por eso, cuando algo no lo entendemos del todo, no pensamos enseguida que haya un error. M\u00e1s bien, esperamos en Jehovah, seguimos investigando y dejamos espacio para que con el tiempo la comprensi\u00f3n se aclare. Esa actitud humilde es important\u00edsima. Sin ella, uno puede estudiar mucho y aprender poco. Con ella, en cambio, hasta una sesi\u00f3n breve de estudio puede acercarnos mucho a Jehovah.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Ahora bien, adem\u00e1s de una buena actitud, tambi\u00e9n hace falta un buen m\u00e9todo. Y aqu\u00ed aparece el segundo punto principal: <strong>para estudiar bien, hay que destacar las ideas principales<\/strong>. A veces uno empieza por el primer p\u00e1rrafo y sigue hasta el final sin detenerse a pensar en el hilo general del tema. Pero eso no siempre es lo mejor. Antes de entrar en los detalles, conviene hacerse una idea general. Mirar el t\u00edtulo, fijarse en los subt\u00edtulos, observar las ilustraciones o los recuadros y preguntarse: \u201c\u00bfQu\u00e9 voy a aprender? \u00bfDe qu\u00e9 me va a servir esto?\u201d. Ese primer vistazo ya orienta mucho la mente.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Despu\u00e9s, mientras vamos leyendo, conviene localizar las ideas fundamentales. Si la publicaci\u00f3n tiene preguntas, es \u00fatil ir buscando conscientemente las respuestas. Y si no las tiene, aun as\u00ed podemos preguntarnos: \u201c\u00bfCu\u00e1l es aqu\u00ed la idea principal?\u201d. Eso nos ayuda a no perdernos en detalles secundarios. Tambi\u00e9n es muy \u00fatil buscar los textos b\u00edblicos que aparecen y ver c\u00f3mo apoyan lo que se est\u00e1 diciendo. Porque nuestro objetivo no es solo entender el comentario, sino comprobar por nosotros mismos lo que ense\u00f1a la Palabra de Dios.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Sometimes while we are studying a question arises, or a point appears that we would like to explore more deeply. What do we do? It is not always necessary to stop the whole study right there. Often the best thing is to note it down and keep going. Perhaps the material itself will clarify it later. And if not, we can research it afterwards at our leisure. That too is good studying, because it helps us not to lose the main thread.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">En este sentido, es muy interesante el ejemplo del ap\u00f3stol Pablo. En su carta a los hebreos, despu\u00e9s de desarrollar varias ideas profundas, se detuvo y dijo: <strong>\u201cEste es el punto principal\u201d<\/strong>. Qu\u00e9 gran manera de ense\u00f1ar. Pablo sab\u00eda que sus lectores necesitaban ver con claridad la idea central. No bastaba con dar mucha informaci\u00f3n. Hab\u00eda que destacar lo esencial. Pues bien, nosotros tambi\u00e9n debemos hacer eso cuando estudiamos. De vez en cuando conviene preguntarnos: \u201cA ver, \u00bfqu\u00e9 es aqu\u00ed lo principal?\u201d. Cuando hacemos eso, retenemos mejor la informaci\u00f3n y entendemos mejor por qu\u00e9 importa.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Pero todav\u00eda queda un tercer punto principal, y es muy importante: <strong>el estudio debe impulsarnos a actuar<\/strong>. Esa es la gran prueba de que estamos estudiando bien. Cuando terminamos una sesi\u00f3n de estudio, deber\u00edamos preguntarnos: \u201c\u00bfQu\u00e9 efecto deber\u00eda tener esto en m\u00ed? \u00bfQu\u00e9 deber\u00eda cambiar en mi actitud? \u00bfC\u00f3mo puedo poner esto en pr\u00e1ctica en mi familia, en la congregaci\u00f3n o en el ministerio?\u201d. Porque el estudio cristiano nunca ha sido solo para acumular conocimiento. Jehovah nos ense\u00f1a para moldearnos, para ayudarnos a tomar buenas decisiones y para hacernos m\u00e1s fuertes espiritualmente.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For example, if we study about prayer, it is not enough to think: \u201cWhat a lovely topic.\u201d We should ask ourselves whether we are praying with more sincerity, more frequently, or with more trust. If we study about patience, we should think about whom we need to be more patient with. If we study about the ministry, we should ask ourselves what point we could use this very week to encourage someone. That is when study stops being something theoretical and becomes something alive.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Y hay una ayuda final que no debemos pasar por alto: al terminar, conviene hacer un breve repaso. No hace falta que sea largo. Basta con recordar los puntos principales y las razones que los apoyan. Eso fija mejor la informaci\u00f3n en la memoria y hace m\u00e1s f\u00e1cil usarla en el futuro.As\u00ed que, hermanos, si tuvi\u00e9ramos que resumir <strong>c\u00f3mo estudiar<\/strong>, podr\u00edamos decirlo as\u00ed: primero, <strong>preparemos el coraz\u00f3n<\/strong>; segundo, <strong>concentr\u00e9monos en los puntos principales<\/strong>; y tercero, <strong>dejemos que el estudio nos impulse a actuar<\/strong>. Si estudiamos de esa manera, el estudio no ser\u00e1 una simple tarea. Ser\u00e1 una oportunidad de acercarnos m\u00e1s a Jehovah, de entender mejor su Palabra y de permitir que esa Palabra nos cambie por dentro.
