It is not something material or something that lasts a short time, but the sacrifice of Jesus. Thanks to that gift we have the possibility to live forever and enjoy a life without pain, without disease and without death. That makes this gift much more valuable than anything else.

Commentary 2:
I like how the video presents the rescue as a gift made with a lot of love. When someone gives us a special gift, we understand that they do it because he appreciates us. For in this case, Jehovah gave us his Son and Jesus was willing to give his life because they both love us deeply. That helps to see that ransom is not only a biblical teaching, but a clear proof of the love they have for us.

Commentary 3:
Another nice idea of the video is that this gift cost a lot to give it. It was not easy for Jehovah to deliver his Son, nor was it easy for Jesus to suffer and die for us. Thinking about that makes us value the rescue even more. It was not a small or symbolic gift; it was a huge sacrifice, made for us to have real and sure hope for the future.

Commentary 4:
The video also shows that this gift benefits us not only now, but also thinking about the people we have lost. When the girl asks about her grandmother, it is noticed that for her this gift becomes very personal. Thanks to the sacrifice of Jesus, we have hope not only for us, but also the assurance that we will be able to see our loved ones who have died again.

Commentary 5:
The part in which they speak of the widow of Nain helps a lot to understand the value of this gift. Jesus was moved to see that mother’s suffering and raised her son. The video uses that example to teach that Jesus really wants to eliminate the pain that causes death. So the gift includes not only the forgiveness of sins, but also the hope of the resurrection.

Commentary 6:
I liked the video to explain that Jehovah raised Jesus, and that Jesus will later raise many people. That greatly expands our vision of the gift. It is not just that Jesus died for us, but that his sacrifice makes it possible to bring the dead back to life. This shows that the gift of Jehovah and Jesus has enormous effects both in the present and in the future.

Commentary 7:
One thing that highlights very well the video is that this gift is born of love, not of obligation. Jehovah did not have to do something so great for us, and Jesus was not obliged to give his life either. But they both did it because they want the best for us. That makes the ransom even more beautiful: it is a gift given with sincere love and the desire for us to live happily ever after.

Commentary 8:
For the girl in the video, this is all no longer an abstract idea when she thinks of seeing her grandmother again. And that teaches us something important: rescue is not only a truth that we learn from memory, but something that touches the heart. It gives us comfort, hope and reasons to move on. Therefore the gift of Jehovah and Jesus is so precious and so personal to each one of us.

Commentary 9:
Another thing I liked is that the video makes it clear that, thanks to the death of Jesus, death will not have the last word. It is true that today we continue to suffer its effects, but that gift opened the door to a completely different future. That means that the sacrifice of Jesus not only gives us hope, but also the assurance that Jehovah has already prepared the definitive solution to the problem of death.

Commentary 10:
I would say that the video summarizes this gift in a very tender and easy way to understand: Jehovah gave his Son, Jesus gave his life for us, and thanks to that we have wonderful hope. We can expect eternal life, the resurrection and the possibility of re-hugging those we have lost. It’s really the best gift Jehovah has given us.

How can we thank you for your sacrifice?

Commentary 1:
The video clearly says that a way to thank Jehovah and Jesus is by attending the Commemoration. I like that very much because it shows that this meeting is not a simple date of the calendar, but a very special occasion to show gratitude. When we make the effort to attend, we are saying with deeds that we truly value what Jehovah and Jesus did for us.

Commentary 2:
It struck me that the girl was happy to learn that the Commemoration was approaching. That teaches that to thank Jesus for the sacrifice is not to see him as an obligation, but as a very valuable occasion. If we understand the rescue well, we will want to be present, listen carefully and take good advantage of that day, because we know how much it means for our life and our hope.

Commentary 3:
Another way to thank them is to continue thinking about the sacrifice of Jesus, not only on the day of the Commemoration, but also before and after. The video is encouraged to ask us what it means to us. That is very important, because when we meditate on the rescue, the gratitude ceases to be something general and becomes something much deeper, more personal and more sincere.

Commentary 4:
The brother of the video asks: What does it mean for me? That idea seems very nice to me because it teaches us that thanking us is not only to repeat that the rescue is important, but to reflect on how it benefits us personally. When we think that thanks to Jesus’ sacrifice we can live forever and see our loved ones again, the heart is filled with real gratitude.

Commentary 5:
The video also shows that we can thank you by talking to others about that gift. The sister explains to the girl what Jehovah and Jesus did, and that makes the girl value the ransom even more. That teaches us that one way of showing gratitude is to share this hope with other people, especially with those we want, so that they also know this special gift.

Commentary 6:
Another way to thank them is to invite others to the Commemoration. In the video, the invitation has an important role, because it helps the girl and her mom think about attending. That teaches us that, when we invite relatives, acquaintances or people from the territory, we are demonstrating that we value this occasion very much and we want others to benefit from it as well.

Commentary 7:
I think it’s very nice that the girl would like her mom to go to the Commemoration too. That shows that when someone really appreciates the ransom, they don’t stand alone with that joy for themselves. Rather, think of the others. Therefore, one way to thank Jesus for the sacrifice is to sincerely wish our family and other people to learn about that gift as well and come to Jehovah.

Commentary 8:
The video also suggests that we can thank by studying the Bible and learning more about Jehovah and Jesus. The more we understand what the ransom cost and everything it will do, the more our gratitude grows. So studying, listening, meditating and continuing to approach Jehovah is also a very nice way to show that we don’t take that gift for granted.

Commentary 9:
When the girl tells her mom that she likes to study the Bible, she notices that she greatly values everything that is bringing her closer to Jehovah. That teaches me that thanking the sacrifice is not limited to a specific meeting, but also includes supporting everything that strengthens our friendship with Jehovah. If we really appreciate the rescue, we will want to continue to advance spiritually.Comment 10:
I would summarize the video by saying that there are several very clear ways to thank Jehovah and Jesus: to attend the Commemoration, to meditate on the sacrifice of Jesus, to talk to others of that hope and to continue to approach Jehovah. When we do all that, we prove that this gift is not a small thing for us, but something we value from the heart.

With the theme: What gift did Jehovah and Jesus give us?
