Why is it so important that we understand the teaching of baptism well?<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Answer 1:<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Because strong faith needs solid foundations. Just as a resilient house depends on a good basis, we need to understand the fundamental teachings of the Bible well. And baptism is one of those teachings that we should not understand superficially.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Answer 2:<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If we understand it well, we will not see baptism as a mere external act. We will understand what it symbolizes, what it means for our lives and why it is such a serious step before Jehovah. That helps us value it much more and prepare better.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Answer 3:<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Moreover, understanding well baptism gives us clarity and balance. It helps us to answer important questions, such as what it stands for, how it should be done and what it means to be baptized in the name of the Father, the Son and the holy spirit. All this greatly strengthens our conviction.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">3. What do we prove when we get baptized?<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Answer 1:<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We show publicly that we have accepted the truth about Jehovah and about Jesus Christ. Baptism is not only an emotion of the moment, but the visible expression that we truly believe in what the Bible teaches and we want to live according to it.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Answer 2:<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We also show that we have repented and that we have already begun to make changes in our lives. That is, baptism does not mark the beginning of change, but confirms that we are already leaving behind a way of life that did not please Jehovah.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Answer 3:<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">And we also demonstrate that we understand that Jesus is the means that Jehovah uses to save us and that we have promised to do the will of God. That is why baptism is so serious: it expresses real, personal and conscious dedication.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">4. It&#8217;s as if the person we were before is left behind and a new person emerges, with new priorities and a new goal in life.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Answer 3:<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">So baptism is not just a formal ceremony. It represents a profound and real change. It shows that we no longer want to live for ourselves, but to begin a new life centered on doing the will of God.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">5. How does it look like what we do to prepare for baptism to what Noah did to build the ark? (1 Peter 3:18-21).<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Answer 1:<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It seems that, at first, it may seem like a very big task. Just as building the ark must have seemed like something huge, a student may find it overwhelming everything he has to learn and change before he gets baptized.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Answer 2:<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">But it also seems in that it was absolutely necessary. Noah could not survive the Flood without carefully obeying God&#8217;s instructions. Similarly, those who want to save themselves cannot take lightly what Jehovah asks to reach baptism.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Answer 3:<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">And it also resembles that Jehovah helps. Noah was able to do his part because he had faith and had the backing of God. Jehovah responds favorably to those who come near to him with faith, repentance and dedication. That is why baptism has very serious spiritual value.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">7. How should baptism be performed?<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Answer 1:<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It must be done by complete dip in water. That fits with the meaning of baptism and what it symbolizes: to leave behind a previous life and begin a new life dedicated to doing the will of Jehovah.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Answer 2:<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It must also be done in a dignified and appropriate manner. Although the Bible does not give all practical details, it does give principles on modesty, order and good conduct. That is why baptism must be done with seriousness and respect.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Answer 3:<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">And it should be remembered that it does not depend on the prominence of those who baptize or the number of attendees. That underlines the responsibility they take in taking that step.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Answer 3:<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">These questions help the candidate make a public statement and aware of his faith. Baptism is not ambiguous or purely private. It is a clear manifestation that the person wants to serve Jehovah and do so with his people.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">9. What do we all have to do to get God&#8217;s approval?<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Answer 1:<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We all need to repent and christen. It doesn&#8217;t matter if we were going to lead a morally correct life before or if we grew up in a Christian family. That alone is not enough to have the approval of Jehovah.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Answer 2:<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The reason is that we are all born sinners and far from God. So, even if someone has not committed very serious sins, they still need to reconcile with Jehovah and make the personal decision to do his will.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Answer 3:<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">That is why you really need to repent, make changes and start living in a way that pleases God. Then baptism makes sense, because it publicly expresses that this decision has already been made in the heart.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">10. What should you do if you were already baptized as a member of another religion?<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Answer 1:<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He must be baptized as a Jehovah&#8217;s Witness. The reason is that God-approved baptism must be based on an accurate knowledge of the truth about Jehovah, his Son and his will, and that was not normally held in false religion.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Answer 2:<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Although a person has been sincere in the past and baptized with good intentions, if he did not correctly understand the fundamental teachings of the Bible, that baptism does not fulfill what Jehovah asks.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Answer 3:<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Sincerity is important, but so is the truth. Therefore, when a person comes to know Jehovah in the right way, he needs to be baptized in harmony with that exact knowledge and with true worship.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">11. What does it mean to be baptized in the name of the Father, the Son and the holy spirit?<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Answer 1:<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It means recognizing the authority behind the Father, the Son and the holy spirit. In the Bible, the term &#8220;name&#8221; refers not only to what someone is called, but also to their position, their reputation and the authority they have.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Answer 2:<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Therefore, being baptized in the name of the Father, the Son and the holy spirit is not just repeating a formula. It implies accepting the role that each one has in God&#8217;s purpose and submitting heart to what Jehovah has arranged.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Answer 3:<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In other words, baptism shows that we understand who Jehovah is, what role Jesus plays in our salvation and how the holy spirit acts. It is not an empty act, but a public declaration of faith and recognition of authority.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">12. What does it mean to be baptized in the name of the Father?<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Answer 1:<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It implies recognizing that Jehovah is our heavenly Father, our Creator and the almighty God. We see not Jehovah as a distant force, but as a royal person with authority over our life.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Answer 2:<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It also implies recognizing that he listens to our prayers and that we use his name with deep respect. I mean, not only do we believe that Jehovah exists, but we want to have a close and reverent relationship with him.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Answer 3:<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">And it also implies accepting that Jehovah saves us through Jesus Christ. It is not enough to believe in God in general. Baptism shows that we accept the concrete way in which Jehovah has decided to save humanity.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">13. What does it mean to be baptized in the name of the Son?<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Answer 1:<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It involves recognizing that Jesus is the only begotten Son of God and that it is the only way that allows us to have a good relationship with Jehovah. There is no other means of salvation outside him.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Answer 2:<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It also implies recognizing that Jesus is our Redeemer, because he gave his life so that we can live forever. Knowing that should not be impressed for just for a moment, but motivate us to follow his example every day.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Answer 3:<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Therefore, if we are baptized in the name of the Son, we preach enthusiastically, endure opposition for loyalty to God and respect the position of Jesus as Head of the Congregation. It&#8217;s not just about believing something about him, it&#8217;s about obeying him and following him.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">14. (a) What does it mean to be baptized in the name of the holy spirit? (b) What other baptisms are the anointed?<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Answer 1:<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Being baptized in the name of the holy spirit implies accepting the truth about the holy spirit: that it is not a person or part of a Trinity, but the active strength of God. We recognize that Jehovah has used her to guide her servants and to inspire the Bible.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Answer 2:<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It also implies that we value the action of the holy spirit in our lives. Rather, we must continue to deepen its meaning so that our appreciation for Jehovah, for Jesus, and for the privilege of serving them continues to grow over time.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Answer 3:<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">And if someone hasn&#8217;t yet been baptized, you should honestly wonder if there&#8217;s anything that&#8217;s holding it back. Being clear about the importance of baptism can prompt it to move forward and not let more time pass than we need to take that step.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">WHAT CONTESTARY?<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">What do we prove when we get baptized, and what symbolizes baptism?<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Answer 1:<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">When we are baptized we publicly demonstrate that we have accepted the truth about Jehovah and Jesus Christ, that we have repented and that we have decided to do the will of God. In other words, baptism expresses real and conscious dedication.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Answer 2:<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We also demonstrate that we understand that Jesus is the means of salvation that Jehovah has willing and that we want to serve God together with his organization.
