He did not want him to be accompanied or learned from him, but also actively participated in announcing that message to other people.

Commentary 2
That work included going from city to city and village in town speaking of the Kingdom. Jesus prepared them to bring hope to all kinds of people and help others to know Jehovah.

Commentary 3
In addition to preaching, they were to teach the Word of God and make disciples. It was not just about giving a short message, it was about helping people learn, change and get baptized.

Commentary 4
Jesus also taught them to see people as a ready-to-catch field. In other words, it helped them understand that there were many people in spiritual need and that it was necessary to work willingly and urgently.

Commentary 5
In short, Jesus commissioned a very complete work: to preach, teach, make disciples and continue to spread the message of the Kingdom even after he returned to heaven.

Did your disciples like that job?

Commentary 1
Yes, they liked it. It is noticed because when Jesus called some, like Peter, Andrew, James and John, they immediately left their networks and followed him to dedicate himself to that work.

Commentary 2
It is also seen that they did so enthusiastically, because they traveled with Jesus through Galilee and Judea, preaching in synagogues, markets and streets, not limited to a few comfortable places.

Commentary 3
When Jesus sent the 70s in pairs, they came back looking forward to telling him how they had fared. That shows that they did not see preaching as a burden, but as a work that gave them joy.

Commentary 4
It probably wasn’t always easy, but they still stayed in that play. That indicates that they did value this work very much and understood that it came from Jehovah through Jesus.

Commentary 5
Moreover, the fact that many others became disciples and baptized must have greatly encouraged them. Seeing good results confirmed to them that it was an important and very beautiful work.

Additional comments on the lesson 78

What do we learn in this lesson upon Jehovah, Jesus, and the Bible? And how can you apply in our lives today?

Commentary 1
About Jehovah we learn that he wants people to hear good news, not just warnings. He wants humanity to know his Kingdom and have real hope for the future.

Commentary 2
About Jesus we learn that he was very clear about his mission. He himself said that he was sent to announce the good news of the Kingdom, and did not allow anything to divert him from that main goal.

Commentary 3
On the Bible we learn that the preaching of the Kingdom was not a secondary thing in the life of Jesus, but the center of his ministry. That helps us give the Kingdom the same place in our worship.

Commentary 4
This lesson also teaches that Jesus trusted his disciples and trained them well. He did not do all the work alone, but prepared others to continue it, showing that Jehovah uses imperfect people to fulfill his purpose.

Commentary 5
Today we can apply it by taking preaching and teaching seriously. We may not all have the same circumstances, but we can support that work and see it as a priority, not as an optional thing.

Lesson from the Study of the Book chapter 79: Jesus does many miracles

Why could Jesus cure all kinds of diseases?

Commentary 1
Jesus could cure all kinds of diseases because Jehovah had anointed him with a holy spirit and power. He did not do those miracles by human capacity, but because God was with him.

Commentary 2
Miracles showed that Jesus had the backing of Jehovah. They were clear proof that he was the Messiah and that Jehovah was using it to do good to the people.

Commentary 3
He could also heal because Jehovah wanted people to see in a small age what the Kingdom will do greatly when Jesus rules over the whole earth.

Commentary 4
Each healing showed compassion, but also divine power. The blind saw, the deaf heard and the paralyzed walked because the force that acted in Jesus came directly from Jehovah.

Commentary 5
In short, Jesus could heal any sickness because Jehovah gave him the holy spirit necessary to do so and to show that the Kingdom will bring complete salvation to obedient humanity.

What happened to Jairo’s daughter?

Commentary 1
Jairus’ daughter was very ill, and before Jesus came to the house, he died. That’s why the family and the people who were there started crying in a lot of pain.

Commentary 2
When Jesus arrived, he told them not to weep, because the child was asleep. By that I wanted to imply that for Jehovah death is not an impossible obstacle to overcome.

Commentary 3
Then Jesus took the girl by the hand and told her to rise. Then she lived again, got up and started acting normally.

Commentary 4
Then Jesus told his parents to feed him something to eat. That detail makes the story even prettier, because it shows tenderness and shows that the girl was truly alive and well.

Commentary 5
For Jairo and his family it must have been an unforgettable moment. They went from the deepest pain to immense joy to see that Jesus had risen to his daughter.

Additional comments on lesson 79

What do we learn in this lesson upon Jehovah, Jesus, and the Bible? And how can you apply in our lives today?

Commentary 1
About Jehovah we learn that he is compassionate and that he desires to alleviate human suffering. The miracles of Jesus reflect very well the feelings of Jehovah towards the sick, the afflicted, and those who suffer.

Commentary 2
About Jesus we learn that he never used his power in a selfish way. He always used it to help, console and strengthen the faith of others, even when he himself was tired or wanted to be alone.

Commentary 3
On the Bible we learn that Jesus’ miracles were not exaggerations or simple moving stories. They fulfill a clear purpose: to show who Jesus was and what his Kingdom would do for humanity.

Commentary 4
This lesson also teaches us gratitude. Of the ten lepers, only one came back to thank. That reminds us that it is not enough to receive help; we must also value from my heart what Jehovah and Jesus do for us.

Commentary 5
Today we can apply this lesson by strengthening our faith in the Kingdom. If Jesus was able to heal the sick and resurrect the dead then there is no doubt that in the future he will be able to completely eliminate suffering and death.

Study Lesson from Book Study chapter 78: Jesus preaches the message of the Kingdom What work did Jesus give to his disciples?
