I do not know how to speak, for I am just a boy.\u201d Then Jehovah said to me: \u201cDo not say, \u2018I am just a boy.\u2019 For you must go to all those to whom I send you, and you must say whatever I command you. Do not be afraid because of their faces, for \u2018I am with you to save you,\u2019 declares Jehovah.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Comment 1:<\/strong><strong><br\/><\/strong>Jeremiah was Jehovah\u2019s friend because, although at first he was afraid and thought he was too young, he listened to Jehovah. He said, \u201cI am just a boy,\u201d but he did not let that idea paralyze him. He trusted that Jehovah would be with him and he accepted the mission to speak to the people.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Comment 2:<\/strong><strong><br\/><\/strong>According to the video, Jeremiah lived at a time when God\u2019s people were doing bad things. Jehovah sent him to tell them to change. Jeremiah proved to be Jehovah\u2019s friend because he obeyed, even though the task was not easy and even though he himself thought he could not do it.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Comment 3:<\/strong><strong><br\/><\/strong>Jeremiah became Jehovah\u2019s friend because he learned to trust in his promises. Jehovah told him not to be intimidated by people\u2019s faces, because he would be with Jeremiah to save him. That promise gave him the courage to speak even when others did not want to listen to him.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Comment 4:<\/strong><strong><br\/><\/strong>The video shows that Jeremiah preached courageously for many years. That shows that his friendship with Jehovah was not just for one moment. He kept trusting in Jehovah time and again, even when people did not react well or when he had to give difficult messages.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Comment 5:<\/strong><strong><br\/><\/strong>Jeremiah was Jehovah\u2019s friend because he did not let fear decide for him. Pashhur, a priest, wanted Jeremiah to keep quiet and put him in confinement all night long to frighten him. Even so, Jeremiah did not abandon Jehovah. That shows a loyal and courageous friendship.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Comment 6:<\/strong><strong><br\/><\/strong>The video says that Pashhur almost succeeded in getting Jeremiah to stop being a prophet. Jeremiah came to feel very discouraged. But he loved Jehovah so much that he could not keep quiet. That teaches us that friendship with Jehovah grows stronger when our love for him is greater than our fear.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Comment 7:<\/strong><strong><br\/><\/strong>Jeremiah was Jehovah\u2019s friend because he felt his words like a fire in his heart. Although he wanted to stop speaking, he could not hold back. That means that Jehovah\u2019s words were very important to him. He did not speak out of obligation, but because he deeply loved Jehovah.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Comment 8:<\/strong><strong><br\/><\/strong>The video also shows that Jeremiah loved people. He did not preach only because Jehovah commanded him to, but because he wanted people to listen and change. When some responded, Jeremiah felt happy. That shows that he was a friend of Jehovah with fine feelings.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Comment 9:<\/strong><strong><br\/><\/strong>Jeremiah was Jehovah\u2019s friend because he accepted that Jehovah could use him even though he was young. He saw himself as small and incapable, but Jehovah saw what he could come to do with His help. That teaches us that Jehovah can help us be courageous even when we feel unsure of ourselves.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Comment 10:<\/strong><strong><br\/><\/strong>The video sums up the idea very well: Jehovah\u2019s friends trust in him and speak about him courageously. Jeremiah did both things. He trusted in Jehovah when he was afraid, he kept speaking even though they tried to silence him, and he showed that his friendship with Jehovah was real.<\/p>\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Whom do you want to talk to about Jehovah?<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Comment 1:<\/strong><strong><br\/><\/strong>I would like to talk about Jehovah to a classmate who may also feel afraid or unsure. Jeremiah thought he could not speak because he was young, but Jehovah helped him. That encourages me to think that I too can speak courageously, even if it is hard for me at first.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Comment 2:<\/strong><strong><br\/><\/strong>I would like to talk about Jehovah to a relative who does not yet know him well. Sometimes talking with family can be embarrassing or scary, but the example of Jeremiah teaches me that I should not let myself be intimidated. Jehovah can help me speak with warmth and respect.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Comment 3:<\/strong><strong><br\/><\/strong>I would like to talk about Jehovah to someone who is doing things that do not help them spiritually. In the video, Jehovah sent Jeremiah to tell the people to change. That reminds me that talking about Jehovah can help others make better decisions.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Comment 4:<\/strong><strong><br\/><\/strong>I would like to talk about Jehovah to a young person who thinks they are no good at preaching or who does not know what to say. Jeremiah too said he was just a boy. But Jehovah helped him. That can encourage other young ones to see that Jehovah can use them.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Comment 5:<\/strong><strong><br\/><\/strong>I would like to talk about Jehovah to someone who feels alone or afraid. Jehovah promised Jeremiah that he would be with him to save him. That idea can help a person a great deal who needs to know that Jehovah does not abandon his friends.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Comment 6:<\/strong><strong><br\/><\/strong>I would like to talk about Jehovah to a neighbor or acquaintance who sometimes seems sad or worried. I could tell them that Jehovah wants to be our friend and that he gives us strength. Jeremiah had very difficult problems, but Jehovah helped him keep going courageously.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Comment 7:<\/strong><strong><br\/><\/strong>I would like to talk about Jehovah to someone who is afraid of what others think. The video shows that Jeremiah also had to face people who wanted to silence him. Even so, he kept preaching. That encourages me to speak even when not everyone reacts well.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Comment 8:<\/strong><strong><br\/><\/strong>I would like to talk about Jehovah to a friend who may listen with a good heart. The video says that when people listened, Jeremiah felt happy. That reminds me that it is worth talking about Jehovah, because perhaps someone will listen and that will help them a great deal.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Comment 9:<\/strong><strong><br\/><\/strong>I would like to talk about Jehovah to someone who thinks God is far away. Jeremiah came to know Jehovah as someone close, who encouraged him and protected him. I could help that person see that Jehovah wants to be near those who seek him.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Comment 10:<\/strong><strong><br\/><\/strong>I would like to talk about Jehovah to someone who needs encouragement to change. In Jeremiah\u2019s day, Jehovah wanted his people to stop doing bad things. That shows that Jehovah does not only correct; he also gives opportunities. That idea can help someone draw close to him.<\/p>\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>What would you tell them to help them become Jehovah\u2019s friend?<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Comment 1:<\/strong><strong><br\/><\/strong>I would tell them that Jehovah wants to be their friend and that they do not have to wait until they feel perfect or very brave. Jeremiah at first thought he could not speak because he was young. But Jehovah helped him. That shows that Jehovah supports those who want to serve him.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Comment 2:<\/strong><strong><br\/><\/strong>I would tell them that they can start by listening to what Jehovah says in the Bible. Jeremiah came to love Jehovah\u2019s words so much that he felt them like a fire in his heart. If a person reads the Bible and thinks about it, they can come to feel something similar.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Comment 3:<\/strong><strong><br\/><\/strong>I would tell them that, when they are afraid, they should remember what Jehovah told Jeremiah: that he should not be intimidated because He would be with him. That promise shows that Jehovah does not leave his friends alone. He can give us courage when we have to do something difficult.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Comment 4:<\/strong><strong><br\/><\/strong>I would tell them that Jehovah understands our fears. Jeremiah thought he could not carry out his mission, but Jehovah did not reject him. Rather, he encouraged him and helped him. That teaches that Jehovah is patient and loving with those who want to draw close to him.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Comment 5:<\/strong><strong><br\/><\/strong>I would tell them that becoming Jehovah\u2019s friend means trusting in him, even when others try to discourage us. Pashhur wanted to frighten Jeremiah and make him keep quiet, but Jeremiah kept going. Jehovah can also help a person today to stay firm.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Comment 6:<\/strong><strong><br\/><\/strong>I would tell them that one way to draw close to Jehovah is to talk about him with others. The video explains that Jehovah\u2019s friends trust in him and speak about him courageously. When we share what we learn about Jehovah, our friendship with him grows stronger.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Comment 7:<\/strong><strong><br\/><\/strong>I would tell them that Jehovah rejoices when someone wants to change and do what is right. In the video, Jehovah sent Jeremiah to tell the people to change. That shows that Jehovah does not want people to be lost, but gives them opportunities to draw close to him.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Comment 8:<\/strong><strong><br\/><\/strong>I would tell them that they can pray to Jehovah and tell him how they feel. Jeremiah had moments of fear and discouragement, but Jehovah kept helping him. When a person prays sincerely, they begin to see Jehovah not as someone far away, but as a friend who listens.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Comment 9:<\/strong><strong><br\/><\/strong>I would tell them not to give up if at first they find it hard to talk about Jehovah or to understand the Bible. Jeremiah too had difficult moments and almost wanted to quit. But his love for Jehovah helped him keep going. Friendship with Jehovah grows little by little.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Comment 10:<\/strong><strong><br\/><\/strong>I would tell them that getting to know Jehovah brings joy. The video shows that Jeremiah felt happy when people listened.
