Commentary 1:Jesus had the disciples fish a large amount of fish after having spent the whole night without catching anything. This showed that he still had the power of Jehovah and that he could bless his efforts when they obeyed his instructions.<\/p>\n\n

Commentary 2:The miracle was that, when throwing the net on the right side of the boat as Jesus told them, the net was filled with so many fish that they could not climb it. This reminded them that, without Jesus’ help, their efforts might seem useless, but with their guidance they were successful.<\/p>\n\n

Commentary 3:After an entire night of work without results, Jesus gave them a simple instruction. When they obeyed it, they received a plenty of fishing. This teaches us that Jehovah can bless our efforts when we trust in the direction we receive.<\/p>\n\n

Commentary 4:Jesus not only did the miracle of filling the net of fish, he also received them with a prepared breakfast. That shows that Jesus was neither cold nor distant. He was interested in his disciples, his physical needs and spiritually strengthening them.<\/p>\n\n

Commentary 5:This miracle helped the disciples to recognize that it was Jesus. John said: He is the Lord. So the miracle not only gave them food, it also strengthened their faith and reminded them that Jesus was still watching over them after they had risen.<\/p>\n

Commentary 2:Jesus did not ask those questions to humiliate Peter, but to strengthen him. He wanted Peter to understand that his love for Christ should be shown to be cared for and feeding the sheep. True love for Jesus is shown to serve others.<\/p>\n\n

Commentary 3:When asked three times if he loved him, Jesus helped Peter think about what was most important in his life. It was not enough to go back to fishing or continue with a normal life. If Peter loved Jesus, he had to take care of his disciples and follow him faithfully.<\/p>\n\n

Commentary 4:Jesus knew that Peter loved him, but he wanted him to express it himself and prove it with actions. Therefore he said to him, “Five my sheep.” This teaches us that loving Jesus means spiritually caring for others and helping them to approach Jehovah.<\/p>\n\n

Commentary 5:Peter was saddened when Jesus asked him for the third time, but that conversation was very loving. Jesus did not reject him for his past mistakes. On the contrary, he entrusted him with a responsibility. This teaches us that Jehovah and Jesus can continue to use those who sincerely repent.<\/p>\n

Commentary 3:We learn not to let our mistakes stop us. Peter had failed, but Jesus did not miss him. If we repent and move forward, Jehovah can help us regain joy and continue to serve him faithfully.<\/p>\n\n

Commentary 4:We also learn to be attentive and hospitable. Jesus prepared food for his disciples and invited them to breakfast. That simple detail reminds us that we can demonstrate Christian love not only in words, but also with practical acts of goodness.<\/p>\n\n

Commentary 3:Jesus gave them a very great work: to bring good news to all nations. But he also gave you a very comforting promise: I will always be with you. This shows that we do not preaching alone; we have the support of Christ.<\/p>\n\n

Commentary 4:Jesus’ command showed that his disciples would have to look beyond their own nation. They should preach in Jerusalem, Judea, Samaria and even the farthest part of the Earth. This helps us to see that Jehovah wants all kinds of people to hear the good news.<\/p>\n\n

Commentary 2:The apostles still thought about whether Jesus was going to be king of Israel at that time. But Jesus helped them understand that it was not up to them to know the times of Jehovah. Rather, they should concentrate on the work of preaching and waiting for the holy spirit.<\/p>\n\n

Commentary 3:Jesus ascended to heaven before his disciples. They stayed looking up until he disappeared. It must have been an awesome moment, because it confirmed that Jesus was returning with his Father and that his work on Earth had fulfilled the purpose of Jehovah.<\/p>\n\n

Commentary 4:On the Mount of Olives, Jesus showed them that the next stage of the work would depend on the holy spirit. The disciples were not to act on their own or advance. They should wait for Jehovah’s promised help before that world mission began.<\/p>\n\n

Commentary 5:After seeing Jesus ascend to heaven, the disciples returned to Jerusalem. There they met and prayed while waiting for more instructions. This shows that they were not paralyzed by the physical absence of Jesus, but remained united and attentive to the direction of Jehovah.<\/p>\n
