They did not carry the good news on their own, but with Christ’s guidance and Jehovah’s help. This teaches us that the preaching work has always had divine direction.

Comment 2:
It strikes me that Jehovah enabled the early Christians to teach in different languages. This shows that he wanted people of many nations to understand the truth. Jehovah does not limit his message to just a few; he wants it to reach all sorts of people.

Comment 3:
We also learn that the early Christians did not have an easy life. They suffered cruel persecution, but Jehovah gave them courage and strength to endure. This encourages us because, although we too may face opposition today, Jehovah can give us the courage we need to stay faithful.

Comment 4:
The vision John received helps us look beyond today’s problems. He saw Jesus as King, the 144,000 ruling with him, and the earth turned into a Paradise. This strengthens our hope and reminds us that the Kingdom will put an end to Satan’s rule.

Comment 5:
An important lesson is that Jehovah should be our best friend. If we devote ourselves to him in prayer and let his Kingdom rule our life, we give him glory. Serving Jehovah is not just carrying out a task; it is living each day as his friends.

Lección 94: Los discípulos reciben espíritu santo

What happened at the Festival of Pentecost of the year 33?

Comment 1:
At the Festival of Pentecost of the year 33, about 120 disciples were gathered in a room when they received holy spirit. A noise like that of a strong wind was heard, what looked like flames of fire appeared over them, and they began to speak in different languages.

Comment 2:
What happened was something miraculous. People from many places had come to Jerusalem for the festival and heard the disciples speaking in their own languages. This amazed them greatly, because they knew that many of those disciples were from Galilee.

Comment 3:
At Pentecost, Jehovah fulfilled the promise to give holy spirit to the disciples. Thanks to that, they were able to speak with boldness and teach people of different nations. It was clear proof that Jesus was alive and was still directing the work from heaven.

Comment 4:
Peter stood up with the other apostles and explained what was happening. He told the people that Jesus had been resurrected by Jehovah and was now at God’s right hand. Those miracles showed that Jesus had received and poured out the holy spirit.

Comment 5:
That day marked a very important beginning for Christians. The disciples received power to preach, many people heard the message in their own language, and the congregation began to grow. Jehovah was clearly showing that he supported the followers of Jesus.

Why did so many people get baptized?

Comment 1:
So many people got baptized because Peter’s words reached their hearts. They understood that Jesus was the Christ, that Jehovah had resurrected him, and that they needed to repent. They did not just feel moved; they took action and showed faith through baptism.

Comment 2:
Many people got baptized because they realized they had been wrong about Jesus. Peter clearly explained to them that Jehovah had raised him from the dead. When they grasped that truth, they wanted to change, to repent, and to take their stand for Christ.

Comment 3:
Peter’s message was direct, but it also gave them hope. He told them they could repent, get baptized, and receive the free gift of the holy spirit. This shows that Jehovah was willing to forgive those who accepted Jesus with sincere faith.

Comment 4:
About 3,000 people got baptized because they saw clear proof of Jehovah’s support. They heard the disciples speaking in their languages, listened to Peter’s explanation, and understood that Jesus was the Lord. Their faith moved them to make an immediate decision.

Comment 5:
Those people did not let the opportunity pass. When they understood what Jehovah expected of them, they asked: “What should we do?” That humble attitude led them to baptism. This teaches us that, when the truth touches the heart, we should respond with actions.

Additional comments on lesson 94: What do we learn in this lesson about Jehovah?

Comment 1:
We learn that Jehovah keeps his promises. Jesus had said that his disciples would receive holy spirit, and that happened at Pentecost. This account helps us trust that Jehovah never forgets what he promises and always acts at the right time.

Comment 2:
Jehovah wants people of many nations to understand the truth. That is why he made it possible for the disciples to speak in different languages. This shows us that Jehovah is not partial and that he wants the Kingdom message to reach all sorts of people.

Comment 3:
We also learn that Jehovah gives power to his servants. The disciples were ordinary people, but with holy spirit they were able to speak boldly in front of many people. Jehovah can do the same today: give us strength to preach and defend our faith.

Comment 4:
This lesson shows that Jehovah is merciful. Many people had been involved, directly or indirectly, in rejecting Jesus. Even so, Jehovah gave them the opportunity to repent, get baptized, and receive holy spirit. That demonstrates his great desire to forgive.

Comment 5:
We learn that Jehovah blesses clear teaching based on the truth. Peter spoke about Jesus, his death, and his resurrection, and many people responded. Jehovah can use a simple and sincere explanation to touch the hearts of those who listen.

What practical lessons do we learn to apply in our life today?

Comment 1:
We learn the importance of letting ourselves be guided by the holy spirit. The disciples did not rely on their own strength, but on the help Jehovah gave them. Today we too need to ask for holy spirit in order to preach, make good decisions, and stay faithful.

Comment 2:
This lesson encourages us to speak about the truth with boldness. Peter stood up and clearly explained who Jesus was. We too can give a witness with respect and confidence, knowing that Jehovah can help us say what is needed at each moment.

Comment 3:
We learn that the truth should touch the heart and move us to act. The people asked: “What should we do?”, and then they got baptized. We too want to respond to what we learn by making changes and obeying Jehovah.

Comment 4:
The account teaches us to value baptism. It is not a mere ceremony, but a serious decision that shows repentance, faith in Jesus, and a desire to serve Jehovah. So those who have not yet been baptized can view it as a very worthwhile goal.

Comment 5:
We also learn that Jehovah can make his people grow. In a single day about 3,000 people got baptized. This encourages us not to underestimate the preaching work. Even though it may seem that few are listening, Jehovah can draw many sincere people.

Lección 95: Nada los detiene

Why did the disciples not stop preaching?

Comment 1:
The disciples did not stop preaching because they knew that obeying Jehovah was more important than obeying men. The religious leaders ordered them to keep quiet, but they were clear that Jesus had commanded them to speak about him and the good news.

Comment 2:
They did not stop preaching because they were convinced that Jesus was the means Jehovah was using. Peter told the leaders that the power came from Jesus Christ, the very one they had killed. That conviction gave them courage to keep speaking.

Comment 3:
The disciples had seen Jehovah’s help very clearly. The man who could not walk was healed in the name of Jesus, and many people became believers. That strengthened their faith and confirmed to them that they should keep preaching.

Comment 4:
Although they were threatened, imprisoned, and beaten, the disciples did not stop. For them, preaching was not an optional activity, but a responsibility given by God. That is why they firmly said: “We must obey God as ruler rather than men.”

Comment 5:
They did not stop preaching because they loved Jehovah, Jesus, and people. They knew that the message could save lives. The opposition of the religious leaders did not make them lose sight of the most important thing: helping others come to know the truth.

How did Jehovah help them?

Comment 1:
Jehovah helped them by giving them holy spirit. After Peter and John were released, the disciples prayed for courage, and Jehovah answered. Thanks to that help, they were able to keep preaching with power even though the religious leaders wanted to stop them.

Comment 2:
Jehovah also helped them through miracles. By means of Peter, he healed the man who could not walk. That miracle drew the attention of many people and opened up the opportunity to give a witness about Jesus. Jehovah turned that situation into an occasion to preach.

Comment 3:
When the apostles were imprisoned, Jehovah sent an angel to open the prison doors. But he did not free them merely so they could escape; rather, it was so they would return to the temple and keep preaching. That shows that Jehovah was clearly supporting their work.

Comment 4:
Jehovah helped them by giving them courage to speak before the Sanhedrin. Those leaders had power and were furious, but the apostles were not intimidated. With Jehovah’s help, they responded with respect, firmness, and impressive faith.

Comment 5:
Jehovah even used Gamaliel’s intervention to prevent the apostles from being killed. Although they were beaten, they went free and kept preaching. This reminds us that Jehovah can protect his servants and open up ways when it seems that everything is against them.

Additional comments on lesson 95: What do we learn in this lesson about Jehovah?

Comment 1:
We learn that Jehovah gives courage to his servants when they need it. The disciples were not invincible on their own, but they prayed and received holy spirit. Jehovah can help us too when we feel afraid or when we face pressure because of our faith.

Comment 2:
This lesson teaches us that Jehovah can open doors that seem closed. The apostles were in prison, but an angel set them free. That reminds us that no human obstacle can prevent Jehovah from fulfilling his purpose.

Comment 3:
Jehovah values obedience. The disciples chose to obey him rather than men, and Jehovah supported them. This encourages us to trust that, when we put God’s will first, he does not abandon us.

Comment 4:
We also learn that Jehovah can use different ways to protect his people. In this account he used an angel, holy spirit, and even the words of Gamaliel. Jehovah knows perfectly how to care for his servants and how to keep his work moving forward.

Comment 5:
Jehovah wants the good news to keep being preached. Although the enemies tried to silence the apostles, the preaching continued in the temple and from house to house. This shows that the work belongs to Jehovah and no one can stop it.

What practical lessons do we learn to apply in our life today?

Comment 1:
We learn that we must obey Jehovah above any human pressure. If someone tries to stop us from doing what God commands, we remember the words of Acts 5:29. Our primary loyalty must always be to Jehovah.

Comment 2:
This lesson teaches us to ask for courage in prayer. The disciples did not ask for an easier life, but for strength to keep speaking. We too can ask Jehovah for courage to preach, defend our faith, and stay firm.

Comment 3:
We learn not to get discouraged when there is opposition. The apostles were threatened, imprisoned, and beaten, but they kept preaching. If someone mocks or rejects us today, we can remember that Jehovah sees our faithfulness and helps us to endure.

Comment 4:
The example of Peter and John encourages us to take advantage of opportunities to give a witness. The healing of the man opened the door to speak about Jesus. We too can use everyday situations to explain our hope in a natural and respectful way.

Comment 5:
We also learn to keep preaching with joy. Although the apostles suffered, they did not stop speaking about Jesus in the temple and from house to house. Their example encourages us to be constant, courageous, and positive in the work that Jehovah has assigned us.

Comment 1:This introduction reminds us that Jesus kept directing his disciples after returning to heaven.
