The Bible text is Hebrews 13:5, which says:<\/p>\n\n

\u201cKeep your way of life free from the love of money<\/em>\u201d<\/p>\n\n

The daily text for today is as follows:\u00a0<\/h2>\n\n

Having strong faith that the end of this system will come at any moment will help us not to fall into materialism. During the great tribulation, money will have no value. The Bible says that people will \u201cthrow their silver into the streets\u201d when they realize that \u201ctheir silver and their gold will not be able to save them on the day of the wrath of Jehovah\u201d (Ezek. 7:19). Instead of focusing on earning more and more money, it is best to make decisions that help us have a simple and balanced life. That includes resisting the temptation to get into unnecessary debt or to get entangled in so many material things that we no longer have time for anything else. We must also be very careful not to become too attached to what we own (Matt. 6:19, 24). It is likely that, as the end approaches, we will have to show whether we trust more in Jehovah or in our possessions.<\/p>\n\n

While Christians of Hebrew origin waited for the signal to flee, they had to live a simple life and avoid the \u201clove of money\u201d (read Hebrews 13:5). Some of them had gone through times of hunger and poverty (Heb. 10:32-34). Although there was a time when they were willing to endure hardships for the good news, some perhaps began to focus on earning more money to protect themselves from poverty and dangers. But there was no money in the world that could save their lives when Jerusalem was destroyed (James 5:3). Moreover, if someone loved money, it would be very difficult for them to flee and leave behind their house and belongings.<\/p>\n\n

Now we move on to our personal analysis for today\u2019s daily text:\u00a0<\/h2>\n\n

The main idea is not that money is bad, but that loving money \u2014being obsessed with having more, accumulating, or \u201csecuring everything\u201d\u2014ends up robbing us of faith, peace, and spiritual time. The text explains that having strong faith that the end can come at any moment protects us from materialism because it reminds us of a compelling truth: during the great tribulation, money will have no real value. That is why Ezekiel 7:19 says that people \u201cwill throw their silver into the streets,\u201d upon realizing that neither silver nor gold can save them on the day of the wrath of Jehovah.<\/p>\n\n

So, what is sensible? Making decisions that help us lead a simple and balanced life. The text gives very practical examples: resisting the temptation to go into unnecessary debt, and not getting entangled with so many material things that there is no time left for what is most important. In addition, Jesus warned us not to store treasures on Earth and that we cannot serve both God and wealth (Matthew 6:19, 24). In the end, near the end, it will be shown who we truly trust: whether Jehovah or our possessions.<\/p>\n\n

How can we apply today\u2019s daily text?<\/h2>\n\n

First: do a \u201cpriorities cleanup\u201d this week. Choose one material thing that is stealing your time or peace (impulse purchases, looking at sales, consumer networks, spending for image) and set a clear limit: less time, less spending, or stop altogether. The goal is to recover space for Jehovah and for your family.<\/p>\n\n

Second: before buying or going into debt, use a quick biblical filter:<\/p>\n\n

    \n
  • “Do I really need it or is it a desire?”<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • “Will this complicate my life and take away my spiritual time?”<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • “Is it creating attachment in me?”<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n

    If the answer is yes, stop. Simplicity is protection.<\/p>\n\n

    Third (very practical): strengthen your trust in Jehovah with a concrete action: set a simple savings or budget plan, but without obsession; and dedicate the \u201crecovered time\u201d to something spiritual (Bible reading, preaching, meetings, family). This way you show through actions that your security is not in material things.<\/p>\n\n

    Fourth: practice detachment. Once a month, give away or donate something useful that you do not use. This educates the heart and reminds you that things are tools, not a refuge.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
