“El discernment proteger\u00e1<\/em>“<\/p>\n\n

The daily text for today is as follows:\u00a0<\/h2>\n\n

David told his son Solomon that he would succeed only as long as he obeyed Jehovah God. Sadly, at the end of his life he began to worship other gods. As a result, Jehovah withdrew his favor, and Solomon no longer had the wisdom necessary to rule with justice and righteousness.\u20141 Ki. 11:9, 10; 12:4. What is the lesson for us? Obedience results in success (Ps. 1:1-3). Of course, Jehovah does not promise that he will give us the riches and glory of Solomon. But if we obey Him, He will give us the wisdom to make good choices.\u2014Prov. 2:6, 7; Sat. 1:5) Its principles are very practical and help us in such matters as employment, education, entertainment, and money. Letting ourselves be guided by God’s wisdom will prevent us from suffering permanent damage.\u2014Prov. 2:10, 11. We will have good friendships and we will have the guidance we need to enjoy a happy family life.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n

What did David say to him? (Read 1 Kings 2:2, 3.) David told his son that if he obeyed Jehovah, he would succeed in life. And so it was for many years (1 Chron. 29:23-25). Solomon built a magnificent temple, wrote several complete books of the Bible, and helped write others. He was famous for his wisdom and riches (1 Kings 4:34). But, as David had said, Solomon would succeed only as long as he obeyed Jehovah God. Sadly, at the end of his life he began to worship other gods. As a result, Jehovah withdrew his favor, and Solomon no longer had the wisdom to rule justly and righteously.<\/p>\n\n

What is the lesson for us? Obedience results in success (Ps. 1:1-3). Of course, Jehovah does not promise to give us Solomon’s riches and glory. But if we obey him, he will give us the wisdom needed to make good decisions (Prov. 2:6, 7; Jas. 1:5). His principles are very practical and help us in matters such as employment, education, entertainment, and money. Allowing ourselves to be guided by God\u2019s wisdom will prevent us from suffering lasting harm (Prov. 2:10, 11). We will have good friendships and have the guidance we need to enjoy a happy family life.<\/p>\n\n

Now we move on to our personal analysis for today\u2019s daily text:\u00a0<\/h2>\n\n

Discernment is the ability to see beyond the immediate: to detect danger before falling and choose what Jehovah approves. That is why the text gives the example of Solomon. David had told him that he would succeed as long as he obeyed Jehovah. But unfortunately, at the end of his life Solomon began to worship other gods. As a result, Jehovah withdrew his favor from him, and Solomon lost the wisdom needed to rule with justice (1 Kings 11:9, 10; 12:4). The lesson is clear: it is not enough to start well; you must remain obedient.<\/p>\n\n

So, what do we learn? That obedience brings success in the most important sense: it keeps us close to Jehovah and protects us (Psalm 1:1-3). Jehovah does not promise wealth or fame, but he does promise something more valuable: wisdom to make good decisions. Proverbs 2:6, 7 says that Jehovah gives wisdom and protects those who are loyal to him. And James 1:5 adds that if we need wisdom, we can ask for it, and Jehovah gives generously.<\/p>\n\n

The text applies that wisdom to daily life: employment, education, entertainment, and money. If we let God\u2019s wisdom guide us, we will avoid lasting harm (Proverbs 2:10, 11). And the result is evident: better friendships, more peace, and a happier family because there is guidance and healthy boundaries.<\/p>\n\n

How can we apply today\u2019s daily text?<\/h2>\n\n

First: before an important decision, use “the discernment filter”:<\/p>\n\n

    \n
  • “Does this draw me closer to Jehovah or pull me away?”<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • “Which Bible principle applies?”<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • \u201cWhat consequences could it have in 6 months?\u201d<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n

    This exercise protects you from impulsive decisions.<\/p>\n\n

    Second: specifically ask Jehovah for wisdom. Not just \u201chelp me,\u201d but \u201cJehovah, help me see the danger here and choose the right thing.\u201d Then look for a related Bible principle. Prayer + Bible = practical discernment.<\/p>\n\n

    Third: take care of the small concessions. Solomon fell by steps. Ask yourself: \u201cIs there something small that I am tolerating that can grow?\u201d (friendships, content, habits, priorities). Cutting it in time is protection.<\/p>\n\n

    Fourth (very practical): review one of these areas today: entertainment, money or friendships. Make a concrete adjustment: delete content, set a spending limit, or reach out to spiritual friends.
