Jehovah answered his people in a favorable time, helped him and allowed the prisoners to go out and populate their devastated land again. *Isaiah 49:8-9)*<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Answer 2:<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The second fulfillment was messianic, in Jesus Christ. That reminds me that it is not enough to have the name or appearance; Jehovah looks at what is behind it, if we are really serving it from the heart.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Pearl 2: (Isaiah 48:3-5)<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Jehovah says he announced things in advance so that they would not attribute them to their idols. That teaches me that Jehovah makes it clear who deserves the glory. And it also makes me think if I always give credit to him.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Pearl 3: (Isaiah 48:8)<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">When Jehovah says that they were already traitors, since you were born, I see how well he knows us. Jehovah does not make unreal illusions upon us, but he still keeps treating with patience. I like it because it shows that Jehovah never loses sight of his name and glory. He doesn&#8217;t want to take anything good from me; he wants to give me peace like a river.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Pearl 9: (Isaiah 48:20)<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Come out of Babylon, it sounds like an urgent and cheerful call. It reminds me that when Jehovah releases, it is not to look back with nostalgia, but to go out decisively. Sometimes we too have to get out of environments or habits that enslave us.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Pearl 10: (Isaiah 48:22)<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The closure is very clear: there is no peace for the wicked. That helps me never envy a life away from Jehovah. It may seem free or attractive, but peace of truth is given only by Jehovah.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Isaiah&#8217;s Hidden Pearls 49<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Pearl 1: (Isaiah 49:1-2)<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I am struck to see that Jehovah called his servant from before he was born and prepared him so carefully. That reminds me that Jehovah does not improvise for his purposes. And it also encourages me to think that he can give direction to a life from very early.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Pearl 2: (Isaiah 49:4)<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This phrase comes to me a lot: I&#8217;ve worked hard for nothing. Sometimes one also feels like this, as if his efforts were not bearing fruit. But the verse adds something key: my reward comes from my God. Jehovah does see what others do not see.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Pearl 3: (Isaiah 49:5)<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I like the servant to say that Jehovah has become his strength. It&#8217;s nice because it doesn&#8217;t convey self-reliance, but healthy dependence. When one recognizes that his strength comes from Jehovah, he stops carrying alone with everything.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Pearl 4: (Isaiah 49:6)<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This verse greatly broadens the perspective: it was not enough to restore Israel, it would also be the light of the nations. That reminds me that the purpose of Jehovah has always been greater than we sometimes imagine. His salvation goes much further.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Pearl 5: (Isaiah 49:7)<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It encourages me to see that the servant would first be despised, but then kings would rise and princes would bow. Jehovah can completely change the way anyone is seen. What a comfort to know that Jehovah responds at the right time. Sometimes we feel it takes, but this text reminds me that he does listen and does help, and that he also knows when to open the door to get out.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Pearl 7: (Isaiah 49:10)<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">They will not go hungry or thirsty, and he will carry them through springs of water. That image conveys me very carefully. Jehovah not only rescues; he also feeds, guides and refreshes. But Jehovah replies with one of the tenderest statements in the entire Bible: \u201cI would never forget you.\u201d It is a beautiful verse for times when someone feels invisible or thinks that Jehovah no longer remembers them.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Pearl 9: (Isaiah 49:18-21)<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The scene of a devastated city that is then so full of children that they no longer fit seems very emotional to me. Jehovah can bring back life where it seemed there was nothing left. That gives a lot of hope when something seems irreparable.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Pearl 10: (Isaiah 49:25-26)<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It strengthens me to read that Jehovah himself saith, I will face them that face thee. There are problems I can&#8217;t solve, but Jehovah can.
