Our donations bring glory to Jehovah’s great name

How do our donations praise Jehovah?

Psalms 96:8 — Give Jehovah the glory due his name; Bring a gift and come into his courtyards.

Comment 1: Our donations are a way to honor Jehovah with what we have. We express our gratitude not only with words but also by supporting projects that bring glory to his name.

Comment 2: Even if we cannot be present at a construction project, we can help it move forward. I find that very encouraging: we do not have to work personally on a project in order to support it. Through our donations, we can contribute to bringing glory to Jehovah.

Comment 3: The important thing is not to draw attention to those of us who donate. The projects are carried out to honor Jehovah. So when we see what is accomplished, we want the praise to go to him, not to us.

Comment 4: I am impressed that the Israelites made their voluntary offerings willingly and with a complete heart. That attitude gave value to what they gave. We too want our donations to reflect a sincere desire to honor Jehovah, rather than simply being a custom.

Comment 1: Something that helps me about the reports is that they explain how donations are used. In this way, I can connect the support we give with specific projects. This helps me better appreciate what is being done to bring glory to Jehovah.

Comment 2: Knowing how the work is progressing helps us to remain interested in it. Our involvement does not have to end after making a donation. We can keep up with the progress and rejoice when we learn what is being accomplished.

Which projects in particular do you appreciate most?
