Letters to Preach at the 2026 Memorial of Christ’s Death

Dear neighbor,

I am pleased to be able to write to you and send this very special letter.

Every year, millions of people around the world, many of whom do not know each other, gather together to share a very special moment. This is the Memorial of Christ’s death.

This letter is an invitation for you and all your family or loved ones with whom you would like to share this important event. Admission is free, no collections are taken, there is no obligation. As the Bible indicates in Matthew 10:8:

“Heal the sick, raise the dead (…). Freely you received, freely give.”

Although each person with their own belief, or each religion, celebrates this event in a certain way, Jehovah’s Witnesses follow the guidelines that God gives us in His Word, the Bible.

The text of Luke 22:19 urges and reminds us that: “Then he took a loaf of bread (referring to Jesus, the Son of God), gave thanks to God, broke it, gave it to them and said: ‘This represents my body, which will be given for you. Keep doing this in memory of me.’”

The Memorial of the death of Jesus Christ is a meeting of approximately one hour, in which this command is remembered and the importance of Jesus’ death and how what God and Christ have done for all humanity benefits us is discussed.

I am pleased to convey to you that Thursday, April 2, 2026, will be a very special day for millions of people who gather all over the Earth to remember and commemorate the anniversary of the death of Jesus Christ.

The biblical mandate of Luke 22:19 urges us to: “Continue doing this in remembrance of me.”

For this very reason, Jehovah’s Witnesses organize a special meeting to remember the great sacrifice that God and His perfect Son made for all of us; to which anyone is invited, regardless of their beliefs or faith in God.

I would love for you to attend and benefit from the biblical teachings that will be delivered, in approximately an hour-long celebration. Please note that admission is free, no collections are taken, and there is no type of obligation.

You will be welcome, along with your family, friends, and any loved ones you would like to accompany you or attend this important event that is held once a year.

Also, in the days prior, there is a special 30-minute meeting at a Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, to which you are equally invited if you wish to attend, featuring a biblical talk entitled: “Who Will Save the Earth?”.

Dear neighbor,

How are you? I hope you are well.

It is a pleasure to announce that you are welcome to a very special and unique event, which is held once a year, and that is accompanied by a unique conference in the days preceding this event, with the interesting topic: “Who Will Save the Earth?”.

Millions of people attend this annual meeting, which is free, without collections, following Jesus’ command, and as God desires. Jesus, along with His apostles at the Last Supper, said to them:

“Then He took a loaf of bread, gave thanks to God, broke it, gave it to them and said: ‘This represents my body, which will be given for your benefit. Continue doing this in remembrance of me.’”

You can look up this biblical text in your Bible. Luke 22:19.

This is how we Jehovah’s Witnesses do it, and we would like you to join us for the Commemoration of the death of Jesus, which lasts approximately 30 minutes.

Both meetings are free. We would love for you to attend the Memorial, and also the special meeting. Because the act that God performed and the sacrifice of His Son, Jesus Christ, must be commemorated and remembered.

“Keep doing this in remembrance of me” – were some of the last words that Jesus spoke at that famous Last Supper.

Yes, the Memorial of Christ’s death is the most important celebration of Jehovah’s Witnesses, and you, your family, and friends are invited to attend.

On the next page you will find the details to attend. But I do not want to say goodbye without inviting you to a Bible conference the week before, under the theme: “Who Will Save the Planet?”.

In this special talk, based entirely on the Bible, the future awaiting the Earth and us, all humanity, will be discussed, thanks to the sacrifice of Jesus’ death, out of the love of his Heavenly Father for all of us.
