Theme: “Let Us Not Be Misled; Let Us Support God’s Kingdom”

What things could distort our view of God’s Kingdom?

Comment 1:
The video mentions popular protests. Sometimes a very convincing leader presents a cause that seems to fight against an injustice, and many people repeat the same message. But the solutions being sought are human ones. If we started to support those causes, even if only in our heart, we could gradually stop trusting in God’s Kingdom.

Comment 2:
The video explains that when someone loses hope and does not know which way to go, his heart can become filled with bitterness and anger. The same thing could happen to us if we lost sight of the Kingdom. That is why we must be careful with causes that could “steal” or capture our heart, as happened with the followers of Absalom.

Comment 3:
Another thing that can distort our view is the promises of politicians. Although some may try to keep them, the video explains that they usually do not have the knowledge or the resources to solve problems permanently. At best, they can only offer temporary solutions.

Comment 4:
We could also become distracted by the good things that governments provide. Christians in the Roman Empire benefited from food, water, and roads, but they had to keep their eyes fixed on the Kingdom. If they did not, they could end up improperly supporting the Empire and betraying their loyalty to God.

Comment 5:
The video also mentions the future declaration of “peace and security.” Although the nations may sound very convincing or sure of themselves, human governments are not the solution. No matter how many times they make that declaration, they cannot change the fact that it does not belong to man to direct his own steps.

And what can we do to avoid being misled?

Comment 1:
We must remember Jeremiah 10:23. Humans do not own their way, nor can they direct their own steps. That idea helps us not to put our trust in popular movements, rulers, or human solutions, but in Jehovah and in his Kingdom.

Comment 2:
The video explains that we must remember the promise of Isaiah 42:1: Jesus will bring justice to the nations. It will not be humans who achieve true and lasting justice. As King of God’s Kingdom, Jesus will accomplish what no imperfect government can achieve.

Comment 3:
We have to keep our eyes fixed on the Kingdom. We can obey governments when what they ask does not go against what God says, but that does not mean we put our future in their hands. Our trust and our future must be solely in God’s Kingdom.

Comment 4:
The video encourages us not to let ourselves be distracted by what Satan’s world promotes in the news, on social media, or anywhere else. Rather, we must keep preaching the good news of the Kingdom and also the warning message of what is going to happen.

Comment 5:
To avoid being misled, we must rely completely on Jehovah. The video ends with Isaiah 26:3, 4, which says that Jehovah will give constant peace to those who trust in him. If we always trust in Jehovah, Satan and his world will not manage to weaken our faith or cloud our view of the Kingdom.
